Our Mission
The mission of the Florence Unified School District is to ensure that every student discovers their potential to succeed.
 
Our Vision
To become a district by design where kids come first.

 

 

Learning Intention: I am learning to unpack the state learning standards, identifying essential content vocabulary crucial for mastering the standards, determining highly effective teaching strategies, and utilizing formative assessments in the form of exit tickets and regular assessments to assist teachers in enhancing tier one instruction and effectively providing tier two support for students who need additional assistance.

 

Success Criteria: I will know I have it when at the end of the institute, along with my team of teachers, can present and explain a comprehensive, well-planned unit that includes state standards, learning objectives/targets, essential vocabulary, performance/level descriptors, success criteria, teaching strategies, exit tickets, and a fully developed common assessment with questions written at DOK levels 1, 2, 3, and 4.

 

Why are we doing this? All Florence students deserve a high-quality instructional program. Project Momentum Arizona focuses on student outcomes and indicators that, when improved or achieved, predict success in life.
